Express Entry

What is Express Entry System?
Whenever IRCC issue ITA to candidates, they declare Type of round they are holding. Express Entry has three different rounds as follows:
General Round
All programs and Categories are applicable, Highest CRS Score candidates will be Invited
Category Based Rounds
In these rounds IRCC invite candidates in the Express Entry pool who are eligible for specific category to meet Canada’s Economic and Immigration goals.
IRCC have chosen following category in advance for 2023
Program specific Round
Federal Skilled Worker Program
IRCC Rank candidates who meet category requirement and will invite top ranking Candidates to apply for Permanent Residency.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible under express entry pool you should meet following criteria
Six Selection Factors
Along with above mandatory criteria, you should get at least 67 points out of 100 Points from Six selection Factors as follows:
May Need Proof of Funds
Once you meet all above criteria, you may need to show you have enough funds to support your Immigration application (based on your family size).
You may be exempt from proof of funds if you have arranged employment, Valid work permit and currently working in Canada.

Canadian Experience Class
To be eligible under this program you need only two things:
At least one year Canadian experience in TEER 0 or 1 Job experience in last 3 years with CLB 7 English proficiency (IELTS General 6 each / CELPIP 7 Each)
OR
Atleast one year Canadian Experience in TEER 2 or 3 Job in last 3 years with CLB 5 English proficiency (IELTS General – Reading 4, writing 5, Listening 5, Speaking 5 / CELPIP 5 each)
Please note: Canadian experience can be combination of two or more jobs with different employers as far as its under TEER 0,1,2 and 3, and meeting all other criteria including Language proficiency.
Education Requirement – Education requirements are basically depend upon your job profile and employment requirement of the job being offered

ECA -Must have if you are aspirant to Canada
An Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) is report that verifies and assess your foreign education compare to Canadian standards and issue Equivalency report that IRCC and Provincial authorities (PNP) use to determined your ability to settle in Canada through different Immigration programs.

- Comparative Education Service – University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies
- International Credential Assessment Service of Canada
- International Qualifications Assessment Service
- International Credential Evaluation Service
- Medical Council of Canada (professional body for Doctors)
- Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (professional body for Pharmacists)
Please note that all above mentioned organizations operate independently and can prepare reports differently. It has been observed that, some organizations do not validate and recognise some foreign credentials but at the same time with the same documentations other organizations validate and recognize your foreign education.

Immigration Medical Exam
All PR applicants and Temporary visa applicants including Work permit, Study permits and Visitors visa applicants (some visitors categories are exempt) are required to undergo a medical exam, including accompanying spouses, partners and dependent children.
Also note that, in a PR application, non accompanying spouse, partners and dependent children also need to undergo a medical examination, even though they are non accompanying.

Biometric
Biometric is the collection of applicant’s fingerprints and Photo for the purpose of applicant’s identification as well as to avoid allowing entry to person who are inadmissible to Canada.
In simple word
- Biometrics are use by Port of Entry Officer to verify person’s identity who are entering Canada as the same person who applied for visa
- Biometrics screening is used to protect the safety and security of Canadians, specially avoid entry of person who are inadmissible to Canada.
Who may need to give Biometric?
Anyone applying for
Biometrics are valid for 10 Years, however if you already have biometrics for your Temporary visa applications including work and study permits, you still have to give Biometrics for your PR applications.
Age from 14 to 79 every individual must need to give biometrics.

Family Biometrics – $170.00 CAD (Family must apply together sometime, family consist of PA, Accompanying spouse and Dependent Children)
Group of three or more performing artist and their staff apply for work permit at same time – $255.00 CAD
